Overview

AdzBlock allows you to insert an advertising block (similar to Google Ads) into your website. The difference between Google Ads and AdzBlock however is AdzBlock gives you full control of the ads contained within the advertising space, meaning you can sell as many ads as you like and make 100% profit from selling them.

Once you have sold ads to your advertisers, simply type their ads into your AdzBlock admin section and the ad will automatically be generated and displayed on your website.

AdzBlock works by inserting a line of code into any page of your website that you wish AdzBlock to appear. You will need access to your web pages via FPT in order to do this – your web hosting company should be able to provide you with these details. You will also need to alter the website code using a basic website editor. There are numerous basic free editors available online. If you have FTP access to your website but don't know how to alter the code – please contact us and we can arrange this for you.

You will find the code that you need to copy and paste into your web pages within the style section of your admin AdzBlock account.

Style

Before you copy and paste the AdzBlock code into your site and if you need to, you can alter the appearance and orientation of your AdzBlock to suite your websites colours and size. Any changes need to be saved in order for the changes to be visible on your website. Any changes will be reflected in your AdzBlock code that you need to copy and paste..

Within the style section of your admin area you can configure;

  • Ad title colour
  • Ad text colour
  • Website address colour
  • Border colour
  • Border style
  • Background colour

Don't forget to click on “save changes” before you exit this section of your admin area

Campaigns

You can have as many adverts as you like (AdzBlock Standard), AdzBlock will only show the number of ads that you have specified for your website. You can locate this feature in the style section of your admin area.

Adding an advert

Type in the name of your campaign in the box provided (this won't show on your website) and click the add button. Repeat this process for all of your campaigns.

move icon You can move or group your adverts by dragging and dropping the ads vertically in the left hand pane of your admin section. This will not change the order in which your ads are displayed. Use this function only if you have many ads that you need to manage.

delete Clicking the cross deletes the selected ad

locked If this icon is displayed the ad will not be visible on your website. Clicking the icon will turn it orange meaning the ad is now visible

unlocked If this icon is displayed the selected ad is visible on your website. Clicking the icon will turn it red, meaning the ad will not now be visible

edit campaign Clicking this icon will take you to the details of the selected ad. Here you are able to EDIT the ads content, make NOTES about the selected campaign and view the campaigns STATISTICS

Details Tab
Here you can alter the content of the selected ad

  • Title – the title of the ad campaign
  • Website title – how the ads website address is viewed within the ad. Particularly useful if you have a long website address
  • Website http:// - the actual address of the ads website (minus the http:// part)
  • Description – The main body of text for the selected ad – you can put in as much text as you wish however only the first 15 or so words will be displayed


Notes Tab
This is where you can store extra details about the selected campaign. Invoice details, costs, time periods – anything that will help you keep track of your campaign.

Stats Tab
All the stats for the selected ad are show here.

  • Impressions: How many times the selected ad has been displayed on your website
  • Unique IP's (impressions): How many unique computers have looked at the selected ad
  • Hits: How many times the selected ad has been clicked
  • Unique IP's (hits): How many unique computers have clicked on the selected ad

Although the needs for each website have been very different you have successfully recognised what would be right for each of the businesses, hence I can be confident that we are managing our on-line presence in the most efficient way, with the ability to respond as required to each one.
